Can’t find the best way to keep your JDK current? An expert can help you figure it out.

Security Baselines

The Security Baseline is the lowest-numbered version of a release family that is considered to be secure. There is always one baseline per release family. The goal is to provide a way to determine if a version of the JDK is up to date and has the latest security fixes.

This list is updated for every CPU, Feature Release and Security Alert. There is one row for each release family. The version shown is either the latest version of that release family to be shipped, or if the family has reached its end of Support Life, a non-existant version. In the latter case:

  • For a release family where the last update version is less than 99, it will be 99
  • For a release family where the last update version is over 99, it will be 10 more than the final update release
